Enforcement Guidelines

Last updated: December 23, 2025

1. Introduction

These Enforcement Guidelines explain how we detect, investigate, and respond to violations of our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Our goal is to maintain a safe and reliable service for all users while being fair and transparent in our enforcement actions.

2. Detection Methods

We use a combination of methods to detect policy violations:

  • Automated content filtering and pattern detection
  • Usage pattern analysis for abuse detection
  • User reports and complaints
  • Manual review by our trust and safety team

3. Violation Categories

Minor Violations

Unintentional or first-time violations that do not cause significant harm. Examples include accidentally exceeding rate limits or minor ToS violations.

Major Violations

Intentional violations or those causing significant harm. Examples include deliberate abuse, security threats, or illegal content.

Critical Violations

Severe violations requiring immediate action. Examples include CSAM, terrorism-related content, or active security attacks.

4. Enforcement Actions

Warning

For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning via email explaining the violation and required corrective action.

Temporary Suspension

API access may be suspended for 24 hours to 30 days depending on the severity. During suspension, you cannot make API requests.

Permanent Termination

Severe or repeated violations may result in permanent account termination. Terminated users may not create new accounts.

Legal Action

Illegal activities may be reported to law enforcement authorities.

5. Appeal Process

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal within 30 days:

  1. Email appeals@siamakerlab.com with your account email and case details
  2. Include any relevant context or evidence
  3. We will review your appeal within 5 business days
  4. You will receive a written decision via email

Note: Appeals for critical violations involving illegal content may not be accepted.

6. Reinstatement

After a temporary suspension ends, your account will be automatically reinstated. For terminated accounts, reinstatement requests may be submitted after 6 months to reinstatement@siamakerlab.com

7. Transparency

We are committed to transparency in our enforcement actions:

  • You will be notified of any action taken against your account
  • Notifications will include the reason for the action
  • We publish aggregate enforcement statistics quarterly
